What GoFramePro is

GoFramePro is a set of estimating and material-takeoff calculators. It applies published prescriptive building-code tables — the International Residential Code (IRC) edition you select (2015, 2018, 2021 or 2024) together with the ASCE 7 edition that IRC edition references — to the dimensions and conditions you enter, and returns member sizes, counts, cut lists, and material quantities. Selecting an edition does not confirm it is the edition your jurisdiction has adopted; that is yours to verify.

GoFramePro is a software tool. It is not an engineer, an architect, a plan reviewer, or a building official, and using it does not create a professional-client relationship of any kind.

What GoFramePro is not

Results are NOT an engineered design and are NOT stamped or sealed by any licensed professional.

Results do NOT certify compliance with the code in force in your jurisdiction. Jurisdictions adopt different code editions, amend them locally, and enforce them differently.

The built-in reference data (span tables, snow/wind values, fastener schedules, lumber design values) is a condensed subset intended for common cases. It does not reproduce every row, footnote, exception, or adjustment factor in the source documents.

Site design values such as ground snow load and wind speed are provided as approximate state-level starting defaults. Real ASCE 7 values vary by county and site — sometimes by several hundred percent within one state. You must confirm the correct value for your specific site with your building department.

Your responsibility

You must independently verify every result before relying on it. That includes checking the output against the full code tables for the edition adopted in your jurisdiction, confirming load and soil assumptions, and obtaining review by a licensed engineer or architect wherever your project or your building official requires it.

You are responsible for obtaining all required permits and inspections. A GoFramePro output is not a permit, a permit application, or a substitute for construction documents where those are required.

Do not order materials or begin construction based solely on a GoFramePro result.

No warranty

GoFramePro is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are correct, complete, current, or suitable for your project.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoFramePro and its owners, authors, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, materials, time, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the service or any result it produces, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid GoFramePro in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50).
