Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

This policy describes what GoFramePro collects, where it is stored, and how to get rid of it. It describes what the application actually does today, not what it might do later. If something is not listed here, we do not collect it.

You can use every calculator without an account. If you never sign in, we hold nothing about you on our servers at all.

2. If you create an account

Accounts are handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google sign-in.

When you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address, your display name, and an account identifier. We do not receive your Google password, your contacts, or anything else from your Google account.

We store one record for your account containing: the account identifier, your email address, your display name if you have one, your plan tier, the dates the record was created and last updated, and the version and timestamp of the legal terms you accepted. That acceptance record exists so there is a provable record of what was agreed and when.

3. Saved projects

If you save a named project, we store the calculator it belongs to, the name you gave it, the inputs you entered — dimensions, spans, species, spacing and the like — and the dates it was created and last changed, against your account identifier.

These are building dimensions. They are not shared with anyone, are not used to train anything, and are not sold. They exist so you can reopen your own work.

4. What stays in your browser

The calculators autosave work in progress to your own browser's local storage, so leaving the page does not lose it. That never reaches our servers. If you are not signed in, saved projects are kept in that same local storage and nowhere else.

We also record in local storage that you accepted the disclaimer, and that you dismissed the early-access banner, so you are not asked twice.

Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it. Work saved to an account is not affected by that.

5. Analytics and tracking

There are none. GoFramePro contains no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no session recording, and no third-party scripts that follow you between sites. We do not build a profile of you and we have nothing to sell.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs — the address a request came from, the page requested, the time — as part of running the site. That is the same basic record any web server keeps.

6. Who else is involved

Google, through Firebase, provides authentication and the database where account records and saved projects live.

Vercel hosts the site and runs the server-side code.

Both are service providers acting on our behalf. Neither is given your data for their own purposes.

7. Payment processing

Not currently applicable. Paid plans are not available, no payment method is collected, and no payment processor holds anything about you.

When billing is enabled, payments will be handled by Stripe, and we will store the identifiers Stripe gives us so a subscription can be matched to an account. Card numbers will not be stored by us and never reach our servers. This section will be updated, and the terms re-accepted, before that happens.

8. Deleting your data

You can delete any saved project from within the app, and it is removed from the database when you do.

You can delete your whole account from your dashboard. Your saved projects are deleted with the account, and this cannot be undone. Work saved in this browser is separate and is not affected — clearing your browser's site data removes that.

A contact address for privacy requests has not yet been published. That is an outstanding item and will be added before GoFramePro is offered generally. We would rather say so than print an address that does not work.

9. How long we keep things

Account records and saved projects are kept until they are deleted. We do not currently operate an automatic deletion schedule, and we are not going to claim one we do not run.

Backups made by our service providers may persist for a period after deletion, as part of their normal operation.

10. Children

GoFramePro is a tool for building work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the version above changes with it, and you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use an account.
